📅 Unlimited Lesson Planner — the biggest upgrade
A full new “Planner” tab where you can create lessons for any date and time, across days, weeks or months ahead. Each plan has its own subject, topics, duration, level, teaching style, and curriculum notes. You can search by subject, topic, or teacher notes, and filter by Today / Upcoming / Past. Each plan card shows the date badge, subject, topics, privacy setting and image status at a glance. Click ▶ Launch on any plan to start it immediately — it builds a single-session schedule from that plan and opens the live classroom. A sticky launch bar also appears when you select a plan.
▶ History Replay with TTS read-out
Every saved session now has a ▶ Replay button that opens a dedicated replay modal. Press Play and the system reads every message aloud in order, scrolling and highlighting each one as it goes. You can pause, skip forward/backward message by message, change the playback speed (0.75×, 1×, 1.5×, 2×), or stop at any point. Download is also available from inside the replay.
🔒 Quiz Results: Public / Private
Each lesson plan lets you set quiz results to Public (shown to the class in the live session) or Private (teacher-only). This persists per result in the Results tab. You can toggle any saved result between public/private at any time with a single button. During a live lesson there is a privacy indicator in the top bar you can toggle on the fly. Public results can be broadcast to the class with the 📢 Publish button — private ones are blocked from publishing until you change them.
🖼 AI Images during lessons
This is a pragmatic implementation I want to be honest about. Each lesson plan has an “Enable AI Images” toggle. When on, the system auto-fetches a relevant image from Unsplash (free, no API key needed) when a lesson topic starts, and shows it as a visual aid in the chat. There is also a 🖼 Image button in the live toolbar to fetch one on demand. The images are real photos matched to the topic keyword. For truly curriculum-precise diagrams (e.g. an exact cell diagram or circuit schematic), that would require an image-generation API like DALL-E or Stable Diffusion with a separate key — I can add that if you want, but the current Unsplash approach works without any extra setup.Here’s everything in v17:
🏆 Leaderboard — now fully integrated with Public/Private
There are now two leaderboard surfaces:Live class leaderboard — opens as a full-screen panel over the classroom (🏆 Board button in topbar). Shows animated rank rows with progress bars, medals, student photos, and per-student scores. When a quiz ends in Public mode it auto-slides in after 1.8 seconds. Private results still show for the teacher with a clear “🔒 Private — students cannot see this” notice, so you always know what’s visible to whom.
Standalone modal from Results tab — every saved result now has a 🏆 Leaderboard button. Opens a dark modal with the same animated board. Has a This Quiz tab showing that specific result ranked, and an All-Time tab showing cumulative total points per student with quiz counts and average scores. - Lesson Planner: Every plan card now has a 📋 Copy button. Clicking it instantly duplicates the plan, appends (Copy) to the title, and sets the date 1 day forward so it doesn’t clash.
- Schedule Builder: Every row (Lesson, Quiz, Break) has a blue 📋 icon button that inserts a duplicate of that item directly below it.
✅ 2 — Smart Topic Auto-Filter Search
- Lesson Planner Editor: A live 🔍 Search custom topics… box now sits above the dropdown. As you type any part of a topic name or its content, up to 15 matches instantly appear in a floating dropdown — click any to add it. A ✕ button clears the search. The full browse-all dropdown remains below for browsing all topics.
- Schedule Builder topic inputs: Typing in the topic input field now auto-suggests matching custom topics in a dropdown above the field — click to add instantly.
