About the Role
This is a 1-week virtual work experience placement designed to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how a modern EdTech company operates. You will spend your week observing our team, learning about different roles, and completing an independent research project. You will learn how we use technology to connect with schools and promote our AI learning platform.
What You Will Be Doing (Learning and Observing)
- Day 1: Introduction & Shadowing (The HR & Admin Team): You will receive an induction to the company. You’ll then shadow a member of our Admin or HR team, observing how they manage communications and coordinate with team members.
- Day 2: Systems & Data Observation (The Data Team): You’ll have a virtual tour of our CRM and data systems. You will observe how data is ingested and used to generate contact lists. You will not handle the data yourself but will see the process in action.
- Day 3-4: Research Project:
We offer the below Teams:
- Outreach & Case Management Intern Team: Under supervision, you will conduct a guided research project. Your task will be to research a list of 10 local schools and create a short report on their type, size, and the name of their headteacher. This helps you learn about the education sector and practice your research skills.
- Data & AI Systems : Under supervision, you will learn-
- Data Ingestion & Management: Assist in building and maintaining the data pipelines that feed our new CRM system, learning how to structure and clean data for AI consumption.
- Automation Support: Help configure and test automated email sequences set to trigger on different dates, understanding how to manage and troubleshoot these workflows.
- Systems Integration: Get exposure to how our AI tools integrate with the CRM platform, learning the basics of system architecture and data flow.
- Reporting: Support the team in creating simple dashboards and reports to track the success of outreach campaigns.
- HR & Recruitment : Under supervision, you will learn-

- Full Recruitment Cycle: The recruitment process for volunteers. This includes scheduling interviews, co-designing interview questions, and conducting live interviews alongside a lead.
- Decision Making & Tracking: Be involved in the decision-making process by tracking acceptances and rejections. You will learn how to manage candidate pipelines effectively.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate with our Onboarding Partner to integrate successful candidates and issue end-of-role certificates, learning the full lifecycle of a role.
- Remote Workflow Management: All activities are conducted remotely, giving you valuable experience in managing HR processes in a modern work environment.
- Day 5: Feedback & Presentation (All Teams): You will prepare and deliver a short presentation on your research findings to a member of the team. You will then receive feedback and have a final Q&A session to discuss what you’ve learned about the different career paths in a company like ours.
What We’re Looking For
- A student who is curious and motivated to learn about the world of work.
- Good communication skills and confidence to ask questions.
- Access to a computer, stable internet connection, and a quiet space to work for the week.
- Permission from your school to take part in a remote work experience placement (we can complete all necessary school paperwork).
- This is a work-observation placement for 1-2 weeks and is unpaid.
