How it works:

Teacher workflow:

3. Click ☁️ Sync Plans to push lessons to student devices via Firebase
4. Click ▶ Start Session to begin the AI live lecture
5. AI speaks, calls on students by name, auto-advances topics
6. Use ⏸ Pause to pause the AI mid-lesson, ▶ Resume to continue

Student workflow:

1. Open the app on their device and go to Student View
2. Log in with their name or Device ID
3. See assigned lessons — click Enter Classroom for lectures or Start Quiz

For Students:

1. Open the app and click Student View tab
2. Enter your name or Device ID — tap 📋 Copy Device ID to share with teacher
3. Your assigned lessons appear automatically (synced in real-time)
4. Click 🏫 Enter Classroom to join an AI lecture
5. Click 📝 Start Quiz to attempt a quiz — results are sent to the teacher

Game Modes:

1. Click + New Homework — add title, subject, due date and instructions
2. Assign to All Students or specific individuals
3. Students see homework in their Student View
4. Track status: Pending → Submitted → Marked

For Students:

1. Homework appears automatically in your Student View
2. Click to view instructions and submit your answer
3. AI can give instant feedback on submitted work

How to generate a certificate:

1. Go to the Certificates tab — students load automatically
2. ① Select Students — click one or more student cards (blue border = selected)
3. ② Choose Template — pick a colour theme (Classic Gold, Royal Blue, etc.)
4. Fill in School Name, Course/Subject, and Authorised By fields
5. ③ Badges — earned automatically from performance (no action needed)
6. ④ Generate:
   • 👁 Preview Certificate — see it inline before printing
   • ⬇️ Download Selected — opens in new window, use browser Print → Save as PDF
   • ⬇️ Download All (PDF) — all selected students at once
   • 🖨️ Print All — sends directly to printer

Teacher: Generate after a specific quiz/lesson

1. In the Teacher: Generate Certificate After Quiz/Lesson box at the bottom
2. Select the student from the dropdown
3. Select the specific quiz or lesson result
4. Click 🏆 Generate Certificate — opens instantly in a new window

Certificate Scope (filter by subject):

• Below the Generate buttons, find 📚 Certificate Scope
• Choose All Subjects or select specific subjects from the list
• Tick Include Transcript Section to add a detailed academic record page
• These filters apply automatically when you click Download or Preview

Course name on the certificate:

Fill in the Course / Subject field in Step ② — this text appears prominently on every certificate. For a specific quiz, use the Teacher Generate section to auto-fill the course from the result.

Why back up?

All data lives in your browser. Clearing cache or switching device deletes everything unless you export first.

How to export:

1. Click the 💾 button (bottom-right corner of any screen)
2. Choose your format:
   • 📦 Export JSON — full backup of all data (students, quiz history, plans, settings)
   • 📊 Export CSV — scores & history in Excel-compatible format
   • 📄 Export PDF — printable performance report
3. Save the file to your device, email it, or upload to cloud storage

How to restore / transfer:

1. Click the 💾 button → Import / Restore JSON
2. Choose your saved JSON file
3. Data merges automatically — nothing existing is deleted
4. Reload the page to see everything restored

How to use:

1. Open a lesson plan in the Classroom Planner
2. Tick Enable Slideshow in the plan settings
3. When the lesson starts, the slideshow launches automatically
4. Or click 🖥️ Slideshow on any lesson card to launch manually

What it does:

Turns this GilRobo into a front-of-house assistant for a business: a full-screen welcome screen customers can talk to (like GilRobo Home, but for your business), and a check-in/ordering Kiosk screen with an optional camera "greeter" that notices someone nearby and starts the conversation itself.

How to use:

1. Set up your business: tap "🏢 Business details" and fill in name, hours, services/menu, FAQs and directions — this is what customers will be answered from.
2. Pick a theme colour: choose one of the swatches or your own custom colour, then "💾 Save theme" — it's remembered on this device and used by both full-screen screens below.
3. Launch the welcome screen: "✨ Open Business welcome screen" — full screen, your colours, a tappable orb to talk, and quick chips for Hours / Services / Directions / Check in.
4. Launch Kiosk: "🖥️ Open Kiosk check-in screen" — a dedicated check-in/ordering screen for a tablet mounted at reception or a counter. Exiting needs the same access token as Business Mode, so visitors can't tap their way back into the full app.
5. Turn on the Kiosk greeter (optional): "👋 Kiosk greeter" lets the kiosk notice someone approaching using its own camera (face or motion sensing — nothing is recorded or sent anywhere) and greet them on its own, then hold a full back-and-forth conversation by voice, typing, sign/gesture or a picture board.
